STD Screening in Women having Sex with Women (WSW)
Women who have sex with women can contract sexually transmitted diseases from the transfer of the cervical or vaginal fluid, direct contact with mucosal or through the use of unwashed sex toys.

Sexually transmitted diseases among WSW include Bacterial vaginosis,Trichomonas Vaginalis, Genital Herpes, Genital warts, HPV infection, Syphilis,HIV, Hepatitis A, B C, gonorrhoea and Chlamydia.
They should undergo screening tests like:
1.Full vaginal and cervical smear and culture tests to exclude the sexually transmitted diseases mentioned above.
2.Blood tests to screen for Syphilis, Herpes Simplex Virus and HIV.
3.Regular PAP smears

Vaccination against Hepatitis A &B is a good way to prevent transmission of the diseases. Safe sexual practices also reduce contraction of such diseases.
